Developing Ideas Into Patentable Inventions

Capturing your Idea

Inventors come to us with an rough idea for a product, a feature or a method. At this stage, we begin with drawing figures related to the idea to get the basics down on paper.

Co-Inventing

Once we understand your concept, we begin to look for existing patents in the both the related field and other fields. We also look for alternative applications for it and enhancements to it. As a paid co-inventor, we are developing and expanding your idea to broaden its application and to develop your patent portfolio. As a paid service provider, we assign the rights to any ideas incorporated into your patent application to you.

Provisional Preparation

We prepare provisional applications including patent figures, specification text and preliminary claims to document the ideas that we generate. You may have your patent lawyer file these provisional applications; or, if you prefer we will assist you with the filing them yourself, i.e. pro se.

Prototyping

We develop both crude prototypes to quickly prove patentable concepts and formal prototypes to demonstrated your invention. We primarily develop the electronic portions of a prototype, but we have the expertise to do product assemblies and packaging graphics. Outside of our immediate offerings, we have a variety of worldwide contacts that can assist to with plastic and metal molds, machining and volume production.
